Privacy Policy

Bee Manager is run by Daniel Hall, a sole trader based in NSW, Australia. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. No legal jargon. If anything is unclear, email us.

What we collect

  • Your account email and (optionally) full name.
  • The hive data you enter: apiaries, hives, queens, inspections, varroa counts, disease observations, treatments, feedings, harvests, equipment.
  • Photos you upload during inspections.
  • Basic technical data needed to keep the app running (auth session cookies).

We do not collect device location, contacts, or anything we do not need to run the service.

How we use it

Only to provide the service: to show you your hives, sync your inspections, run AI queen detection on your photos, generate your PDF exports, and email you about your account. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not build a profile on you.

Where it lives

Your data is stored in Supabase in the ap-southeast-2 (Sydney) region. It is encrypted at rest. Row-level security policies in the database mean other users cannot see your records, even if they wanted to.

Third parties we use

  • Supabase hosts the database, authentication, and photo storage in Sydney.
  • Vercel hosts the web application.
  • Roboflow runs the AI queen detection model. Inspection photos are sent to Roboflow only when queen detection is enabled. We do not send any other account data with the image.
  • Open-Meteo provides weather snapshots for inspections. Only an approximate location and date are sent. No personal information.

Your rights

  • Export your data as PDF or CSV anytime from Settings.
  • Delete your account anytime, which deletes your data within 30 days.
  • Request a copy of everything we hold about you by emailing the address below.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in. There are no tracking pixels, no analytics that follow you across the web, no advertising cookies.

Children

Bee Manager is for adult beekeepers. The service is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change, we will email you at the address on file before the change takes effect. Small clarifications and typo fixes will be made without notice.
